Recycling to You?

What does recycling mean for you? No, it’s not a stupid question. For us it means stemming and, ultimately, reversing the damage we’re doing to our planet, simple as. For our mate Dave, it means cycling the same route twice on his bike, of course Dave’s an idiot. Let us know your thoughts on possibly the 21st century’s most essential activity.

The answers are just listed and people can add their own here.

Your Views on Recycling

  1. Doeddwn i byth yn ailgylchu pethau o’r blaen, ond ar ôl dysgu amdano yn yr ysgol rydw i nawr yn gwybod ei fod yn rhywbeth mae’n rhaid i ni i gyd ei wneud. Mae Mam a Dad yn ailgylchu ac roedden nhw’n arfer gweiddi arna i pan oeddwn i’n rhoi plastig neu bapur yn y bin sbwriel, ond nawr rydw i’n gwybod ei bod yn bwysig ailgylchu ac rydw i bob amser yn rhoi pethau yn y biniau cywir nawr.

  2. I never used to recycle. It’s a recent thing for me, starting when the council supplied us with green bags. Since I got into it I have realised just how easy it is. The whole family is involved now, and, with three children, there’s a lot of rubbish! It’s a great feeling to know that you are doing something to help, especially when it’s as easy as it is!

  3. I’m scared that if we don’t recycle everything that we can, then our futures will be in trouble. It’s not like it used to be, we can’t just throw everything away anymore. We need to turn old bottles into new ones so that our rubbish isn’t just buried. I have managed to get Dad to help me save the planet!

  4. Everyone in my student house recycles. We have a compost bin in the kitchen and are really involved in reusing whatever we can for the environment. I find it extremely important to do so because without doing this, we are jeopardising the future of younger generations.
