Here’s the lazyman’s approach to learning about recycling. It’s a fact-burst. We’ve found these facts, just lying about different places, brushed them off and polished them up. Recycling at its best. Here they are, all in one place for your informational enjoyment. Recycle them again by telling people about them. Enjoy!

  1. Recycling one plastic bottle can save the same amount of energy needed to power a 60-watt lightbulb for six hours. (Source: Recoup)
  2. The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle is enough to power a light bulb for four hours. (Source www.practicalhelp.org.uk)
  3. Every year in the UK we use 13 billion steel cans which if you placed them end to end, would stretch to the moon - three times! (Source: Steel Can Recycling Information Bureau)
