Waste Awareness Wales has been established to promote the 3R's of reduce, reuse and recycling of rubbish across Wales. It is a joint Welsh Local Government Association and Keep Wales Tidy project funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. Visit this site for lots of information on waste reduction in Wales.

The Eco-Schools programme provides a simple framework to enable your school to analyse its operations and become more sustainable. There are three award levels:- • Bronze award - self-assessed via website leading to a certificate • Silver award - self-assessed via website leading to a certificate • Green Flag - externally assessed leading to a certificate and flag The new Welsh Eco-Schools website will be live soon and, for the moment here is the UK link.
Keep Wales Tidy is a registered Environmental Charity working for the improvement of Wales' local environments.

How big is your eco foot!? We all make an impact on the ennvironment by just living. An ecological footprint is a calculation of how much biologically producitve land is required to sustain your consumption levels. This website features a typical online eco footprint calculator, so have some fun and see how big your eco feet are!

This is the website of the Newsprint and Newspaper Industry Environmental Action Group. It's a long name, but basically this organisation is all about the recycling of newspapers. NNIEAG keeps government and the general public informed about its use of recovered fibre. It also provides advice on how to improve recycling performance.
HDRA - The Organic Organisation
Check these out, they are marketed as environmentally friendly. Of course The Really Rubbish Campaign cannot endorse third party/commercial products but well worth a look we think.
Ecover was established in 1979 and was the first to market ecological washing and cleaning products on a large scale. The company's philosophy is wrespect for people, animals and the environment are at the forefront.
This is an educational toyshop in Wellfield Road Cardiff. Environmental games on sale include 'What's Rubbish' where you can play and find out what can be recycled at the same time. Spin the spinner and move round the board collecting cans, bottles, clothes and newspapers to put in the recycling bins.
